Whiteboard Animation (25 Ways to Kill a Stick Figure)

So, I just made a little animation the other day using the “whiteboard” animation.

It’s easy enough to do. Just set up a camera, draw a picture, take a picture of it, slightly change the picture, take a picture, etc. And at the end of that very long and tedious tunnel, you have a video:

Let me know what you think. It’s my first whiteboard animation, so consider that. If you have any questions on how to make your own whiteboard animation email me at (sirbuffalosushi@gmail.com) or leave a comment! :)

Top 5 *Budget* Christmas Gifts for 2010

It’s once again time to Deck The Halls With Bows of Holly, light a fire, and maybe bake some cookies with some Christmas music.

ImageChef.com - Custom comment codes for MySpace, Hi5, Friendster and more

But then again, it’s time to look into your wallet and see the money that you don’t have. Take it from me, Christmas Day isn’t so bright when all you get is socks. That’s why I’ve come up with a Top 5 “Budget” list for Christmas 2010.

Kids:

#5. – Nerf Vulcan EBF-25 Boys or Girls

Guys love guns. Well, most of them, anyway. Being a guy myself, there’s no better gift than a machine that can fire projectiles. :D don’t worry the Nerf Vulcan EBF-25, better known as just the Nerf Vulcan, only shoots low speed foam darts; so it’s not dangerous and don’t worry about breaking anything, even if you did hit glass or something there’s no way it’s going to break.

I found the Vulcan at Walmart for a very good price of ($29.97).

#4. – Crosman P9 Airsoft Pistol Boys
Well, staying in the gun department, I’ve chosen the P9 airsoft pistol from Crosman. A lot of people have a misconception of airsoft guns. The truth about airsoft is that they are meant for target shooting and can be fired at other people in airsoft fights. Now, whether you can have fights of just shoot targets is up to you, both are lots of fun. Airsoft doesn’t hurt that bad, it’s just a little pinch and it’ll bounce right off you. You just need to wear eye protection while shooting.

Walmart (In stores only), Amazon, and Crosman all sell the P9, but Amazon is the cheapest with a price of ($22.50). To read more about the P9 or to buy it through Crosman, click on the “Crosman” link above.

#3. – Wood and Tools Boys
Wood is some of the best marital that you can give a boy. Just a pile of wood, nails, a hammer, and a saw can get him started building a fort, a tree house, or whatever he feels. My neighbor gave me some wood he didn’t need a week or so ago, and now I’m half way done building the ultimate airsoft fort.

Wood is somewhat cheap, too, so you could give this along side the P9 airsoft gun (see above).

#2- Nintendo DS Lite Boys or Girls
While Nintendo now offers “DS XL” and “DSi”, the original DS Lite is the
cheapest at a stable price of ($129.00) through both Walmart and Amazon. And the money you save by going with the older Lite over the newer models you could spend on the actual games.

#1.- iPod Nano Boys or Girls
This could be on the more expensive side but, like the Nintendo DS
Lite, I was thinking it could be the “big” present, followed by maybe just a stuffed stocking.

But the cool thing about the Nano is that it is TINY, and would be great for active people that are running around can just clip to their shirt. Plus it comes in 8 gig or 16 gig. If your not much for the technical terms, 1 gig can hold in the range of 200-250 songs, so 8 gig is absolutely huge. And I found this for ($139.95) at Amazon.

Parents:

#5.- Charm Bracelet Women
Charm Bracelets are cool things to give because you can add on to it. When you reach a milestone or occasion you can buy a little charm to clip on to remind you of that time. I found a top-of-the-line silver starter bracelet for ($90.00) on Amazon.

#4.- Flip Cam
Everyone loves the Flip Cam. And for good reason. I like it because you can get up to two hours of video in one little charge. It’s easy to hook up to your PC and download too. The Flip Cam goes for ($99.00) on Amazon.

#3.- MP3 to Car Stereo Adapter Men or Women
In the car, on long commutes or stuck in a traffic jam can be very frustrating. And when there’s nothing on the radio and in most states it’s illegal and unsafe to have ear phones in, this can be very helpful. Just plug one end on your radio and the other into your MP3 player or iPod, and then your good to go. Found it on Amazon for a very do-able ($19.99).

#2.- Keurig Men or Women
The Keurig is a awesome little machine that is perfect for apartments of small space homes. What it is, is a coffee/tea/iced tea/hot coco/beverage maker. You can either use your own coffee or tea, or use the little “K-cups” sold through Keurig.com. All you do is pour water in the tank, put your K-cup in and hit start. It’s really awesome.

You can buy the Keurig at many stores for ($100-$200).

#1.- Nikon Coolpix L22 Digital Camera Men or Women
The Nikon Coolpix L22 is a neat, compact, little camera and comes with 3.6x “optical” zoom. It comes in black, blue, red, or silver, perfect for either gender on your list. The Nikon Coolpix L22 Digital Camera sells at a amazing ($89.00) off of Amazon.

Stocking Ideas:

Walt Disney World Extreme Vacation Guide For Kids
If you’re gift is not a present, but a trip, then this book has got you covered for Disney. Aimed at ages 3-14, this book won’t tell you the cool things about Disney; it’ll sho
w you. With projects like “The Wave Tank”, exploring how Typhoon Lagoon works, or “The Stomp Rocket”, giving you a feel of the rides made possible by air. And for the smaller kids in your family the “Mini-Projects”, giving little minds a easy hands-on way to look at things. This book has got it all. Selling on Amazon for a great price of ($16.95).

What are you really eating? You may be surprised

People laughed at me when I said I was declaring “war” on meat companies. They all said “Yeah right, you’re not going to really do anything.” So here I am still trying to convince a whole nation to at least look at what I have to show you.

I’m not trying to turn the whole nation into vegetarians, I’m just trying to push the idea of eating free-range.

Look at the video I’ve put together from undercover evidence and real photos. Nothing has been photo-shopped or messed with, it’s all raw footage.

Please shop at places like Whole Foods, who buy from local farmers who raise free-range animals, which helps animals and the local economy.

These are some pictures of free-range animals.

The animals still die but we need meat. And they live a lot happier lives and are killed a lot more humanly.

PLEASE EAT FREE RANGE MEATS.

And if you really still don’t care, free range is better for you, too. That’s because the animals aren’t given steroids. And when you eat a animal with steroids, some of those drugs go into you, and make you fat. I’m serious, the drugs go into you and literally make you fatter.

And Please Find out more at Meat.org they care about this as much as I do, and their videos are FAR worse.

Find out more at Meat.org.

Thinking of losing weight, become a vegetarian

I become a vegetarian because I want to boycott meats because of the inhumane ways the meat companies raise and kill the animals, but some people do it for health reasons or to drop a few pounds, and being a vegetarian, belive it or not, isn’t that bad.

Just last night, my family went to Red Robin, one of the best places to get a burger, and with much effort, I resisted the awesome bacon cheeseburger and opted for the Garden Burger, which was made of vegetables and bacon-less, instead. The Garden Burger definitely wasn’t as good as a beef one would have been, but I was saving a cow from being slaughtered, and I learned the Garden Burger was a very smart option for those dieting.

Here is the nutritional facts of a bacon cheese burger at Red Robin…

Calories 1030
Total Fat 70 g
Sodium 1920 mg
Carbohydrates 48 g
Dietary Fiber 3 g
Protein 52 g

Compare that to the Garden Burger I had…

Calories 538
Total Fat 23 g
Sodium 1600 mg
Carbohydrates 62 g
Dietary Fiber 10 g
Protein 23 g

The Garden Burger is better in every way except for carbohydrates and protein, which is to expected seeing the Garden Burger is made of veggies, and to be honest the Garden Burger is pretty good. I have a photo of the garden burger below.

And if you’re still not totally convinced that becoming a vegetarian is going to be worth it, or your on the fence whether a meat-free diet will really lose you some weight, I have another comparison to show you.

I checked out Taco Bell’s menu and found that being a vegetarian still means you can eat out occasionally.

Here’s the nutritional facts on Taco Bell’s Nachos Supreme, which has a lot of meat on top of it…

Calories 440
Total Fat 24 g
Sodium 800 mg
Carbohydrates 42 g
Dietary Fiber 8 g
Protein 13 g

Then I have Triple Layer Nachos, which just have cheese, beans, and sauce on top…

Calories 350
Total Fat 18 g
Sodium 740 mg
Carbohydrates 39 g
Dietary Fiber 7 g
Protein 7 g

There’s not a whole lot of difference between the two, but the meat-free one is still the healthier choice.

And those facts are for those who want to watch their weight but still go out to eat. And eating at home can be just as tasty and even more healthy.

If you’re not one that likes to cook, there are so many options that you can just put on the grill or throw in the microwave. I eat a lot of bean burritos that I can just grab from the freezer and toss in the microwave for two minuets, and there great if you’re on a budget because they only cost 33¢ per burrito. (Just encase you’re interested in the bean burrito idea, the brand is Patio and it’s the Bean & Cheese Burrito. They have Meat & Bean and Chicken, too, but if you got the meat ones it would defeat the purpose. And the Bean & Cheese Burrito is only 270 calories, 7 grams of fat, and 6 grams of fiber. You can find them at Walmart in the frozen entrees section. The meat ones have 400 or 500 calories.)

Another good option is the Boca Burgers or Boca Chicken patties, they’re only 1 to 2 weight watchers points and are really good.

So, if your thinking of losing some weight this spring, becoming a vegetarian is a great option.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid, The Movie; do the actors look like the real characters?

Diary of a Wimpy Kid, by Jeff Kinney, is due to go down as one of the best books in history. But now the best seller is being took to the next level.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid The Movie will be a movie based on the book, but is this “movie” concept going a bit to far? Some of the characters in the movie trailers look nothing like in the characters in the book.

Take for example, Greg Heffly, the main character of the book, looks a lot different in the book than the movie.

Greg Heffly (in the book on the right, and in the movie on the left):

Then you have Greg’s mother (movie version on the left, book version on the right)…

And the Dad…

Fregly (looks TOTALLY different)

Rowley (the only one that looks some what the same)

And of course, Rodrick, and here’s the really weird part, the actor who plays Rodrick is the actor also in Saw VI.

And last but not least, Manny

They couldn’t get any character right, they all look way different. Harry Potter got all the characters (except for Hagrid) in the movie to match with the characters in the books.

I think they should have stopped at the books, this is just plain weird. And even though Greg’s mom doesn’t in the picture, she looks exactly like Sarah Palin in the commercial for the movie.

Easy way to make $100,000,000

E-Trade’s Super Bowl commercial costed over $3,000,000 and, depending on a judge’s ruling, it’s going to cost them a lot more.

The Super Bowl ad starring are beloved E-Trade baby and his two girlfriends was apparently offensive to Linsey Lohen.

Lindsey Lohen claims that E-Trade took her name. She’s suing E-Trade 100,000,000 dollars. Talk about fast cash. But, isn’t there like a ton of people named Lindsey?

ABC’s Lost has a character named Kate. My mom’s name is Kate, does that mean we should get 100,000,000 bucks from ABC?

The book “Flush” has a character named Dusty. My dog’s name is Dusty, do I get another couple million?

Can I sue the dictionary for using “sir”, “buffalo”, and “sushi” because they’re all part of my nickname?

As lame as Lindsey Lohan’s case may be, dummer things have happened:

A lady who bought a McDonald’s coffee and spilled on herself, sued McDonald’s for having hot coffee; and she won.

Some girls who wanted some extra cash are suing Ben Roethlisberger for a ton of money.

Suing for stuipid reasons is just a waste of everyone’s time and money. I think if the jugde says that the sue is bogas, the person who seud should pay the amount of money that they sued for to the guy they sued.

American Buffalo Productions presents- Play Ball

I’m so happy right now. I got music to work in my new film and I think it’s pretty cool. It comes together nicely.

Here it is: American Buffalo Presents “Play Ball” by Sir Buffalo Sushi.

So cool.

Trip to Charleston- plus awesome reheatable recipe

Well, I just got back from Charleston and it was pretty cool. Below I have somewhat of a play-by-play of what I did.

After just 30 minuets of riding in the car, I was seriously deprived of video games and TV and I was bored, so I took a gummy bear and a lifesaver and pretended he was stranded at sea. Then I ate him.  (It’s sideways)

Then, five hours later, we pulled up to the campground that we were staying at, James Island County Park and Campground.

Once we got settled in, we hit the South Carolina Aquarium which wasn’t anything really special and the animals kind of looked unhappy, but still it was cool.

Next we hit the battle ship at Fort Sumter, Fort Sumter is where the first battle of the Civil War was held, it was SO AWESOME we got to go in a battle ship AND submarine. I don’t have any pictures of it, though, because my gosh darn camera ran out of gosh darn batteries.

We also saw a cool spinning cow. Yes, a spinning cow. It went in circles, but I only got a picture.

So, that’s are trip. Although I have one more from when we were heading back to NC, I got a picture of the “South of the Boarder”.

And, the reheat recipe that I have is totaly NEW TO THE WORLD!

I made this for lunch, and the recipe is totaly mine, and I DISCOVERED and I named it after me; Sir Buffalo Sushi Pasta Style Dinner.

Sir Buffalo Sushi Pasta Style Dinner:

This is a recipe that I created today while messing around in the kitchen. This recipe is a mix of noodles, hamburger meat, and cheese sauce, and it’s really good reheated in the microwave.

Ingredients: (feeds about 4)

2½ cups of pasta (use whatever pasta that you like [It's better to have a larger shape pasta, rather than a smaller one])

1/3 pound of ground turkey meat (you could use ground beef, but I’m off of beef because I’m slowly transitioning over to vegetarian, and turkey meat is much leaner) (and you should season your meat with whatever you want)

2 tablespoons of all purpose flour

1½ cups of milk

2 tablespoons of butter or margarine

2½ cups of cheddar cheese (you could use any other cheese, but I’d probably stick to cheddar)

¾ teaspoon of salt (salt is just for flavor, so if you’re watching your sodium intake or something you could skip it, but salt really makes this recipe good)

A good shot of pepper (again, just for flavor)

Here’s how it’s done:

1. Put the ground meat into a skillet on medium-high heat and wait for it to get brown.

2. In a pot, boil water then add your pasta until it’s done.

3. While you pasta’s boiling, in another pot let your butter melt in a pot on the stove at medium-low heat.

4. Stir your flour into the pot with the melted butter.

5. SLOWLY add your milk to the butter and flour, while stirring and turn the heat to high. (keep stirring because if you don’t your milk will burn)

6. Once your milk-butter-flour mix comes to a boil add you cheese to it, stir  it and putt it to the side.

7. Now on a serving plate, mix the cheese sauce, the pasta, and the meat all together and serve.

8. Now you eat.

9. Now you smile.

10. Now you say aloud “Sir Buffalo Sushi is awesome!”.

OK, maybe you don’t have to do the last three steps, but you can. This recipe is a lot better reheated because the cheese sauce is better when it sits in the fridge all night long.

Tomorrow, I Go One State Down, Today, I Pack

Tomorrow I’m leaving North Carolina and venturing into South Carolina. Charleston is my destination.

Charleston is tucked in South Carolina’s beach front. This quiet town is famous for their Joggling Boards.

A Joggling Board is a really weird bench type thing. It sways and rocks when you sit on it. Joggling Boards have been around for a long time, and are exclusive to South Carolina. You can see what it looks like in the picture to the right.

Joggling Boards aren’t the only site to see in Charleston, though. Another attraction is the seafood. It only makes sense to get the best seafood around in a town where all they do is seafood. Charleston has an array of higher upscale seafood restaurants to little ma and pa shacks with a killer secret recipe.

And the camping is spectacular. Only a couple miles away from the beach, James Island County Park has a great little place to set up camp. Unlike other campgrounds that don’t allow fires, James Island County Park lets guests have the real camping experience.

Plus, let’s not forget about the beach. Although to cold to swim in February, in the summer the beach comes to life. The sparkling sand is accompanied by a smooth surf that rolls over the horizon. And, like all beaches, you have the choice to surf, build a sandcastle, or just lay in the sun. And, at the end of the day, you can sit on the pier watching the sun set and listen to the waves lapping up against the shore.

So, whether it’s sitting on a age old Joggling Board, setting up camp, enjoying some of the best seafood around, or just simply spending a day at the beach, Charleston, SC has it all.
